Открываю эту страничку, потому что хочется узнать как можно больше о колонии, куда из Германии(Гессен - Кемел)переселились мои Шмидт и откуда мои предки, уже родившиеся в Сусаннентале. Здесь, я предполагаю, будут размещаться все сведения о колонии из воспоминаний тех, кто их собрал, беседуя со своими родными, ранее проживавшими в этой колонии.И, конечно, информация о людях - это самое главное. Кто здесь жил, начиная от первопереселенцев 1767года до депортации. А может быть, кто-то и вернулся сюда. Очень надеюсь, что в след за мной появится много уникальных сведений о Сусаннентале и её жителях.Хотелось бы посмотреть и фотографии
этих мест и его жителей.

Hallo Natalia,
ich habe evtl. einen weiteren Vorfahren von Georg Heinrich[Jg.1782] und Daniel Schmidt[Jg.1775] gefunden. Die Eltern waren ja Franz Schmidt, Jg. 1744, und Anna Dorothea Schmidt Jg. 1749, geb. Weinberg.
Auf der Internetseite bei www.Familysearch.org, fand ich den folgenden Eintrag.

Der Vater von Franz Schmidt war demnach ein Peter Schmidt Jahrgang 1718. Er war verheiratet mit Elisabeth Jahrgang 1722, Nachname wird leider nicht erwähnt. Des weiteren wird in dem Eintrag erwähnt das sie um das Jahr 1743 geheiratet haben sollen. Leider wird der Wohnort nicht mit angegeben.

Спасибо, Андреас, за заботу! Что-то у меня ничего не открылось. Браузер, возможно, устарел. Надо обновлять.

Сегодня моему папе, Николаю Эдуардовичу Шмидт, исполнилось бы 99 лет, на следующий год будет столетие. Тяжёлая была у него жизнь. Самая тяжёлая в семье. Много я ему посвятила строчек в своей книге. Вернуть бы то время назад, когда он был ещё жив, согреть бы его теплом да особенной, душевной заботой. Расспросить обо всём, разговорить, чтоб тяжесть да гнёт с души его снять. Но времени недоставало. Работать надо было. Отдаваться делу своему. И не думала тогда, что самое-то главная моя забота была рядом. И накормить, напоить, обстирать - это далеко не всё. Это - маленькая толика заботы. А главное - в другом. Господи, помоги всем, кто ещё этого не понял, уразуметь сейчас, когда близкие ещё живы, когда они рядом. И они ждут. Душевной заботы и душевного тепла. Как свои, так и чужие.

vielen Dank für die ausführliche Erklärung, das Ihre Information aus den deutschen Kirchenbüchern stammen. Demnach sind die Daten bei "Familysearch" nicht korrekt.
Da Ihr Vorfahre David Schmidt 1775, ein Bruder von Georg Heinrich Schmidt ist 1782, sind das auch die Vorfahren von der Seite meiner Ehefrau.
Nochmals Danke für diese Information, ich wäre ohne Ihre Hilfe einer falschen Spur gefolgt.

Прочитал на этой странице спор по правописанию фамилии Вагнер/Вегнер и хочу внести свои исследования, поправки.
Wagner- в переводе мастер по изготовлению телег, повозок, колесниц... фамилия одного человека.
Wägner- мастера по изготовлению колесниц, телег, повозок... фамилия семьи и переводится на русский Вегнер, но это не значит ,что в обратном переводе на немецкий -Wegner.
В грамматике немецкого языка есть своя особенность- УМЛЯУТЫ(ä ,ö ,ü) ,которые имеют своё назначение указывать на множественное число. Множество списков переселенцев подверглось переводам, переписям и ,причём, на английский язык и с английского языка. В английском языке УМЛЯУТОВ нет и, поэтому, за основу нужно брать церковные записи.

This is the text John Werner wrote for the map of Susannenthal:

"About the map of Susannenthal (Colonists also called their village by the name of Winkelmann after a pioneer mayor)

"One of the favorite subjects my father Reverend William Werner and I shared over the years was the life story of our family and the history of our people, the 'Wolgadeutsch.' I made many notes of the stories he told. I was always impressed by his remarkable memory of people and events. My father was unusually well-versed on this subject since he had lived in Susannenthal the first 25 years of his life. During this time he had worked with his father in the business of selling straw hats. The hats were made by the Susannenthal families during the long Winter months. Father became well-known to the families of the village. He sold the hats in the Russian villages as he traveled up and down the Volga, as far north as the Gama tributary and as far south as the Caspian Sea.

"In the late 1970s it first occurred to me that I should ask my father to sketch a layout of our home village of Susannenthal. I offered to help him in any way I could if he would do so. He was most willing to attempt this since he had by then retired from his last Pastorate.

" To begin this project, father sketched a simple layout of the village which I then enlarged. Thereafter, in meeting after meeting, he recalled names and locations of families and places which I recorded. In this way the map was built up 'brick by brick.' My intention was that after we had prepared our 'rough draft' I would make it re-drawn by someone with professional skill before duplicating it and making it a part of the Laber and Werner genealogies. Unfortunately I have been unable to get this done and meanwhile the genealogies were completed and distributed.

" Now as my 85th birthday approaches, I have come to the realization that it is most important to get the map out without delay. I decided to re-draw the map myself as best I could (the map will readily show that I am not a professional). However, the information will now be available to the Laber and Werner families. It is my hope that at a later date interested members of the Werner and Laber families will have a professional re-do the map for possible publication in an historical journal.

"I want to add here that my father's memory was not infallible, so there are undoubtedly omissions of families and places. Also, there appear to be duplications of some individuals which is not necessarily the case. Father explained that it was the custom to use the same familiar given name often within a family group. The individuals were identified by a nickname, a custom quite prevalent in the Colonies. Also, in retrospect, there were many other questions I should and could have asked of my father before his death in 1987. For example, he does not show the home of the Pastor, Reverend Nathaniel Heptner, nor that of the Schoolmaster, Johannes Ertel (note: Heptner probably lived in the parish seat of Naeb. There was probably a parsonage there. BP). I have also learned of several other families who lived in Susannenthal but whose homes were omitted. I have added these to the list of names although I have no information as to the exact location of their homes in the village. But generally speaking, the map should be interesting and useful with the genealogies.

"Finally, I must say that a feeling of 'heimweh' (nostalgia) has often pervaded my thoughts as I worked on this project. I realized that I was recording the past life of a once happy village which exists no more, destroyed by the 'Evil Empire' of Communism! For nearly two centuries our staunch forefathers lived, worked, loved, and worshiped in their peaceful village. The remains of six generations now lie buried in the ruins of what was once a thriving community of God-fearing people! May God bless their memory!

Наталия, здравствуйте. Мой прадед был рожден в 1896 году в Сусаннентале. Кригер Андрей Федорович. Но я не могу найти эту фамилию ни в одном списке. Мне удалось найти Кригеров в Крутояровке, Старице,Привольном. Что делать и как найти прапрадеда я не знаю. Помогите если можно.

Возможно Лейман Карл это отец прабабушки моей Кригер (Леиман)Эммы Карловны. 1903 года рождения.
